Tyre Pressure Warning Light
Tyre Pressure Warning Light
What it means
The horseshoe icon with an exclamation mark is the TPMS warning. Under-inflated tyres reduce grip, increase wear, and raise fuel consumption. Sudden pressure drops may indicate a puncture.
Where you will see it
Dashboard, typically amber; may appear briefly at startup before clearing.
What you should do
Check all tyre pressures (including the spare if fitted) when tyres are cold. Inflate to the pressure shown on the door jamb sticker or owner manual.
Common mistakes
- Resetting the TPMS without correcting tyre pressure.
- Checking pressure when tyres are hot after driving, giving inaccurate readings.
